Much like the SOG ninja at almost half the cost! Buy this bag!!
Okay, I’ve never been one to write reviews on a product I didn’t stand by but, let me just say this backpack is perfect. I can’t even tell you how many bags I have saved in my lists or how many I’ve ordered but this is probably one of my favorites by far. I have a 40l backpack that I’m using as a bug out bag and as for this Samurai Tactical backpack it’s now become my Get Home Bag, perfect size for what I need it for, which if you’re a prepper you know that a get home bag is just the essentials. It has more pockets than I know what to do with and for the price you can’t beat it. Super durable, super lightweight, the straps are very comfortable. Now my only con on this bag are the zipper pulls the string used is somewhat thin and feels like it could rip off which causes the zipper itself to snag when trying to open BUT!!!! I have added paracord pull tabs instead and fixed that issue.

Great but not perfect
Everything about this backpack feels sturdy. If molle compatibility is why you are looking into this bag, just be aware that the molle on the side panels and on the top front pouch are not made to spec. If you look at the top pouch molle, you can see that the stitching is not centered. A molle strap can't fit through the outside loops. The spacing between the webbing on the sides isn't molle spec. That said, this backpack is extremely comfortable, distributes weight well, and I foresee it holding up well. I also would have rathered they forego the bottle holder in favor for more molle webbing, but even that is very well made and has good retention so I can't be too harsh there.

Just ok.
I really wanted to love this. Bought this for a family vacation to Disneyland. It has a decent amount of storage and pockets but the problem is the fact the zippers are so stiff it’s hard to manipulate them. Anytime I try to pull the zipper around a “corner” it sticks and I have to fight with it to get it opened or closed all the way. I have already pulled one of the zipper pulls off and I only used it for 5 days. I expected a bit more for the money I paid.

Cool!
I was simply looking for a backpack with patches on it and plenty of room inside. I wanted something to carry my metal detecting gear around in. I wasn't going to use it often so I figured I could skimp on the price. With that in mind:Pros: Looks bada** Quality Material Velcro "Morale Patch" areas Tons of space Tool/climbers clip holders Has "draining holes" in the bottom of the main compartment for sand/moistureCons:Zipper quality... This hasn't become a major issues because I haven't used this bag very long but it can sometimes be difficult to get the zippers open. Seems like it could be a long-term issue (or even an immediate issue if you're rough on it) so I've deducted 1 star.Overall: I love it and recommend it

very nice backpack and definitely worth the price but...
As stated in description, there is a compartment for hydrobag or laptop but note that compartment does not have any padding. I was specifically looking for compact tactical bag (which this is) with padded laptop/tablet compartment (which this does not have). Unfortunately, I would have to return. Upon receiving and careful inspection, would still definitely recommend if protective laptop/tablet bag is not a feature you need. I bought based on description and answered question that it had laptop compartment and I thought it was going to be padded. Otherwise, it is a very nice compact adjustable depth bag with plenty of compartments and the organizer pocket seems well thought out.

Nice tough bag. New version desert clay color.
I purchased the black color bag from a local merchant about six months ago. It is very rugged and tough. Just a little small in size for me. When I saw the desert clay color version of the bag offered on Amazon I decided to buy it. When I received the backpack I was happy to notice it is slightly larger in size than the black version. Please notice the picture of the product tag I posted. The original size was 17.1 in. X 11.1 in. X 6.1 in. (24 liters). The bag I received is: 19.3 in. X 12 in. X 7.8 in. (29.4 liters) . This has been reported to Amazon so they can update product info. Keep in mind you will either receive the 24 liter or 29.4 liter size bag.

good daily backpack
I just got this bag in today and it looks and feels very well made. The zippers are nice and the material seems good. I really wanted a nice, smaller sized bag that I could use daily for school, hiking, or just for normal day-to-day usage. I will update if and when I get any problems with wear. So if you don't see an update, it's holding up well. Some things that kind of bug me about the bag...I kind of wish the padding in the shoulder straps were thicker. The padding for your back and for the hand strap are nice and thick which I really like but the padding for the shoulder straps feels a little lacking in comparison. That's not to say the backpack is uncomfortable, just that it would have been nicer with a little more padding there. Also the lip over the zipper for the main compartment makes it a little annoying to zip & unzip. You could say it's a nice security measure but I think most people would go for the smaller compartment first anyways.Overall, the small gripes I had with the bag don't give me enough reason to take it down a star. It's a very nice bag that is comfortable for daily use and very affordable. If it's a little small for you, you can always add molle pouches for more space.Hopefully you don't hear from me again for the wear/tear update!2-Week update:I have been using it every day for mild use, just to lug stuff around. Not too much stuff or anything heavy. It has held up so far, but what I have noticed is that the main compartment zipper is really annoying to open/close, IMO. Also, some of the inner zipper mesh compartments keep getting messed up so that the compartment is open on both sides of the zipper. I usually zip it "open" all the way and then close it, which has fixed it so far but it keeps happening...with barely anything in the pocket. Still, a decent backpack and the price is nice but...you could probably do better. Would probably return for something a bit better but shipping is gonna be 1/3 of the price of the bag so...might as well keep it at that point lol.

Worth the buy
Found this bag for my EDC and it exceeded my expectations. It is basically the SOG 24L ninja pack for much cheaper. The bag is a perfect size for EDC as I like to bring it with me wherever I go.Pros, comfortable shoulder straps with quick releasing buckles, lots of molle webbing for customization, padded and sturdy grip handle, good amount of compartments and inner pouches for added organization, large and sturdy zippers, hydration pack compatible, construction materials feel solid.Cons, if you wear your pack with lots of slack the chest strap can sit too close to your neck but strap height is adjustable. Zipper pulls don't have enough pull to open the main compartments easily, I fixed this by using looped zipper pulls. The compartment that can hold a hydration pack doesn't fit any laptops only small tablets.Compared to the SOG ninja day pack which is basically the same pack side by side I would choose this bag for the price. More comfortable handle and much cheaper. I highly recommend this bag for those looking for a bag they can just sling on anytime and anywhere to always have what they need on a day to day situation.

Buena copia

Bang for your buck
For the price of this bag it performs better than expected. The molle stitching is strong enough to support a gunshot trauma kit without giving out. Although the molle strapping stretches slightly it is does not alter the performance. The molle on the sides of the bag is stitched too close together making some pouches hard to secure.I have not tested the water proofing.I use this as a duty bag and it has so far served me well.

Okay for $39
Honestly for what you pay for ($39 with free shipping), this is a good bag pack.Decent materials, half decent stitching. You will find loose threads everywhere so you have to burn those off yourself. Stitching of smaller parts are pretty bad.The biggest con for me is that some parts of the bag are not even symmetrical on both sides. The compression straps on the left and right sides of the pack are not at the same height. The handle (which usually sits at the very top of the bag) is not even centered.I won't be returning the pack cause for 39$ this isn't bad. I'm not using it daily. But buyers beware. You get exactly what you pay for.

A few drawbacks but not bad for the price
Pros:Molle!Gel cushioned top carrying handle its very niceLots of room for adjustment with straps.Side compartment for water bottle fits every bottle I put in it (water, pop, shaker bottle) LOVE ITComfortable carrying strapsConstruction is impressive.Cons:It is small. I would consider it to have about the same amount of space as a childs' backpack, but wears like a full sized adult one.IT DOES NOT STAND UP! The bottom is narrow (because its smaller) and therefore it will not stand up on its own and it falls over all the time. The zippers are very stiff. It's not a quick unzip to grab something.Overall pleased for thirty-something bucks.
