KEMAO Women's Victorian Rococo Dress Inspiration Maiden Costume Masquerade Dress Ball Gown

This dress is absolutely stunning! Quality fabric and craftsmanship, I couldn’t be happier. My only pick would be the ribbon for the corset, it was a bit thin and dull and didn’t match the shine of the black accents so I bought a roll of wider satin ribbon separately. I bought a 39” long 6 hoop crinoline to achieve the poofiness, and it did show slightly at the front of the dress but nobody noticed but me. The dress is longer at the back than the front. I’m 5’10” barefoot and wore 3” heels and the dress just touched the floor with the crinoline. I’m 30F-27-32 and the medium fit perfectly. I also sewed a pendant on to the choker, for added drama. The choker is quite large, the manufacturer should use a Velcro strip instead of the small square so that the size could be adjustable. No biggie. I would absolutely recommend this dress and can’t wait to have another occasion to wear it!

The dress style was nice, especially for the price but the color was not as expected. The darker print pictured is the sellers amazon image (for the green option), the multicolored fabric is what I received. Just reached out to the seller, will have to see what they say. I purchased it for a vampire ball and it’s not the look I’m going for at all.Update: Seller was very responsive and corrected the issue.

Great costume base!It is as pictured. The measurements are very close but if in doubt go a size bigger. It is always easier to take on than let out.Shipping was fast considering it is international but know that is you order something from another country it will take at least two weeks.I added a hoop skirt under to give it proper Rococo volume.Thanks for a great dress! This dress exceeded my expectations by far! It’s well made with sturdy cotton-poly blend, and is very accurate with US sizing. I’m between a size 16-18 and could have gone down a size after seeing the XXXL on. Fortunately, it has crisscrossing lacing in the back like a corset and can be tightened without looking bulky or sloppy. The cut of the dress is very flattering and hides my tummy along with a multitude of other sins. It looks even better in person and once I added my hoop skirt it was even more beautiful. I will be getting it hemmed as I’m quite short but that’s pretty much what I have to do with most of my clothes. Honestly, it is well worth the cost and I will be ordering again in other colors. I’m so glad I took a chance and ordered this dress and I highly recommend it.

I bought this dress for Halloween 2019 to use as my main piece for my Marie Laveau, Legendary New Orleans Voodoo Queen costume. I used actual historical photos and set photos of Angela Bassett on the set of American Horror Story: Coven to come up with the styling guide. I looked on Amazon, and other sites, for the perfect 1800s style dress and this dress was WAY more affordable than other options from other sites/manufacturers. For the price, you get great construction and a good fit. The fit was pretty much on point. I generally wear a large, but I bought the XL just to be safe. While a little big, it ended up working out because my costume had lots of layering. The only thing I didn't like was that the "green" print option that I ordered is more of a pale blue in person. Again, it ended up working out for the best and I'm still happy with it. The ribbon for the lace up in the back is quite flimsy, but you can easily swap it out. I would definitely purchase again! First off I ordered a gray dress, but this is brown & black. But I love the color so I'm gonna keep it. I bought a xxl because I figured it might fit small but it fit the way an xxl would... Which gives me some room to work with & poofs out as big as I like. It's very long on me because I'm only 5' feet. I got a good size 6 ring hoop skirt which is about 4 feet wide. So the dress still drags on the floor even with the hoop skirt. So that means I can bustle the skirt & create pick ups on the sides & the back of the skirt. Which is absolutely what I wanted to do! Plus I have extra sheer fabric that I'm gonna sew on to the back of the skirt to make an even prettier, poofier bustle. I'm gonna add pretty pink ribbon & lace trim & small pink rosettes. It'll look pretty snazzy when I'm done. I'm also gonna lower the neckline because it's a little high & add some pretty fabric. I love it, but I have some work to do on it.

This was ordered for Halloween in New Orleans and to use in the future for Reniscence Fairs. It is a nice quality fabric. It is very long so depending on your height you may have to hem it or buy a hooped petticoat to fill the shirt out. I used a smaller petticoat and pinned up the side shirts to look like it was part of the design. It worked well but I still had to hold it up a bit to prevent the hem to get filthy. The one thing I would change about this is the corset type back. The ribbing they provide isn't strong enough to hold it so you may want to get a thicker or stronger ribbon or string to hold it tightly. This may be another thing that you could hem but that would make it harder to put it on and off. Overall it is beautiful and a nice quality dress.

I ordered larger, and it ran a little big but the lacing helps tuck it in. The lacing is cheap ribbon, so im swapping it out for cording. It's not quite victorian in design, the v dip at the bottom of the bodice is much more ren faire but it'll do. I bought this for a Victorian Christmas in July festival, the fabric is a cheap cotton, so it actually works better for hot days than traditional fabrics. The cut is good, as is the length. It should definitely be worn with a hoop skirt. I tried using a crinoline but no good. For the price, you can't buy the fabric and your time for it.

I really liked the dress heavier weight material than most not sure of the size I was sent a little big but with the tie at the back and front made it fit pretty good but really long even with a hoop slip and heals under it. But I am only 5'3 so it would be perfect for someone taller. Shipping was very fast got it in a couple of days New year's Eve. Overall it will be perfect for doing murder mystery dinner parties at my luxury Inn in downtown Huntsville Ontario crewsoninn.com thanks Suzanne
