Very effective and rapid relief of tendonitis
I was initially skeptical of how effective these could be, but a co-worker's experience convinced me to give them a try. I am currently making the effort to wear them from morning until bedtime and they do appear to be working quite well. Mild tendonitis in my right elbow and light tendonitis in my left have been alleviated nicely while wearing these. I will say that they are a bit more bulky than a sleeve to wear (worn over bulkiest part of forearm muscle as in product picture) which makes them a little less convenient...but persevere and you'll experience the results. Due to the slight bulk I didn't wear them consistently for the first few days and didn't see much progress. However, wearing them all day has remedied that (they can be worn under a dress shirt without too much trouble). They are comfortable to wear and seem well made. The velcro stays nice and tight and can be adjusted from both sides which is a nice touch. All in all, after a couple of pain-free days I can confidently say that these are well on the way to helping my elbows heal fully. Highly recommend.

A review from someone who paid full price for the product!
First of all, to be clear and for what it's worth, I actually PAID full price for these braces, unlike most of the others who reviewed this product. At the time I received the braces, there were 95 other reviews, only 9 (nine) of those did NOT mention receiving them for free or discounted. Just sayin'.Since I actually paid for the product, it meant that I truly needed the product for myself and was not "testing" it, or passing it on to someone else to test it. I have an actual diagnosis from a physician of golfers and tennis elbow in both arms, which is the reason for my purchase. I admit to being drawn to this product due to the number of positive reviews. To be honest, at first I was very disappointed in the braces, but held off on doing a hasty review. After using the braces for about a week, I have given them a 4-star rating based on the following pros and cons.Pros -1) Money back quarantee, which is the reason I decided to buy the product. I did not base my decision solely on the reviews, but I know that reviews impact purchases. As I mentioned, I was drawn to the product based on the positive reviews, but was skeptical due to the lack of reviews made by customers who paid full price for the product.However....2) The product is well made, except I find that the straps are too narrow for my comfort. But the gel pad puts gentle pressure on just the right spots and it is easy to adjust the straps. The velcro closures seem to hold securely and are well made.3)There is an e-guide (an emailed PDF file) which provides a LITTLE help locating the proper position for TE or GE, but NOT for both at the same time, which is disappointing. To be honest, you just have to determine the most comfortable position on your own.Cons -1) The odor from the neoprene is pretty strong!! I had to let them air out until I could stand to wear them. However, my husband found this to be a non-issue for him, and the odor diminished after a few days. It took about a week before the smell diminished enough for me.2) I find the strap to be too narrow for my comfort. However, this could be due to the fact that I am used to a much wider band and perhaps I will get used to the fit. ***Update: Dec 26 ~ I have noticed that if you don't have the strap and velcro closure lined up just so, the velcro edge is exposed and scratches. Again, this is due to the strap being too narrow.3) The e-guide, (a PDF file) in my opinion, isn’t all that helpful and certainly not worth paying extra for. - Yes, I know it is "included” in the price, but these braces aren't cheap, and the e-guide is mentioned as a feature so we are paying for it one way or another. **Update ~ Dec 26: The guide doesn't fully explain how to position the braces, and in fact is a very small portion of the guide. I have found it best to experiment with what feels good to me and not worry about "proper" placement.Bottom line: I do recommend the product and it truly does help with the pain! That alone warrants a great review! However, I purchased elbow compression sleeves from a different seller on Amazon and find that overall the sleeves give me much greater relief! My review remains at 4 stars instead of 3 because my husband has found them to be very beneficial and is going to place an order for himself.I will update my review and overall rating as needed.

It Works!
I went to the doc because the pain in my arm was getting to be unbearable. He diagnosed "tennis elbow" and gave me the choice of 3 different treatments. I went with a cortisone injection and was told to purchase a brace to use when doing strenuous work. I purchased this elbow brace from PlayActive and it was delivered quickly. I was immediately impressed by the design, quality of material and construction. The stitching alone makes me think this thing will outlast me.Because the pain was gone after the cortisone injection, the brace sat in a drawer, never used. Then a couple of weeks ago I was simply lifting a full gas can out of my truck and the pain instantly shot down the arm. I put on the brace and the tendon felt much better. I left it on all night and by morning the pain was gone. In fact I was able to keep a scheduled range date that very day with no problems thanks to this brace. It's such a simple little device, but the relief it provides is tremendous.

Works well is cost-effective and the customer service is very good. After 7 months all is still well.
I purchased it for golfer's elbow which means the gel pad is pressing against the opposite side of my arm. My doctor recommended using a compression sleeve or strap for the tendinitis so I tried a few different types. I exercise often and the PlayActive strap has worked the best; it reduces the discomfort while exercising and while wrestling with a 5-year-old boy.I have not had to scale back nearly as much as I had feared and was even able to heal while remaining active. When the other elbow flared up the second strap was there waiting for me. The hook-and-loop closure will wear out under constant and heavy use (though they still last a long while) so if you train with weights and do pull-ups you might want a spare set.My questions to customer service were answered quickly and always to my satisfaction. Between amazon.com and PlayActive it's a low-risk buy if this is something that might help you.
