Q: The door I'd like to use this on is only 76 inches in height. Will this work for this door? Is the height of the screen adjustable?

I had the wife shorten ours by sewing in a double fold over at the top. Looks like it came that way and the height is now perfect. We got the 34" wide version that exactly fit the middle 36" wide opening in our 9' aluminum sliding patio door.

Q: After I go through will it close back up every time ?

Ours does almost every time. The only reason it hadnt is because our exterior door is metal and sometimes the magnets stick to it if you go through very quickly.
