They rust up in the spring area a little but I've seen this on all of them. They work great. Love the little size too.

These tongs are inexpensive but feel as if they are top-of-the-line. They grabber side closes tightly, they are heat resistance, and though I don't have the test of time, they lock well. They also do well in the dishwasher.

The locking mechanism works very well and the tong ends are sturdy ( not too soft) and pick up food easily.
