Heavy duty gardening stakes
These are surprisingly useful stakes that can be connected with supplied clips to adjust the height. They are perfect for tomato plants, vines and long stemmed flowers. There are little pieces extending from each pole that can hold string to keep the plants in place. They are very strong and won't easily bend. I use a rubber mallet to push them into fairly hard soil although you can also dig a small hole and push them in. I like that they are primarily made of plastic so they won't rust or weather. At the end of the growing season they can be separated into smaller sections for storage.

Dahlia Stakes
Surprisingly sturdy with segments just over a foot long and about a finger's width. The connections allow for enough overlap, and fit snuggly in such a way that these stakes are more sturdy than my 6' stakes bought at the hardware store. I'm surprised too!I'm using these for Dahlia Flowers, and the buildable height is fantastic. When the plants are young, they just need a stake to get started. With these segmented stakes, I can add as they grow - rather than changing out the stake or using a giant one from the beginning. This hides the stakes behind the greenery, and is far more appealing to the eye. Will buy more.

Good stakes for our basic gardening needs
First off, we are beginner gardeners who make more mistakes often than not. We are learning as we go and we are halfway through our first growing season. We should have started off with buying these stakes but we are now adding these to support our slowly growing plants. They work well for our needs.

This is a really good Plant Stakes kit.
This Lanny Garden Plant Stakes 70 pc kit as just perfect for my garden beds. Being made with metal inside and covered with the plastic coating makes each of them a really strong stake, that are also pointed on one end so that it is easy to insert them into the ground or pot where it's wanted. I especially love the addition of the twisting connectors so you can do much more supporting wherever you like. These are just what I needed and I'm so glad I found them. Recommend .

High quality and a great value
This is a really neat set of gardening stakes. It's very versatile in that you can connect multiple pieces together to make custom sizes. For example, you can connect three of the 16 inch rods with two of the connectors to make a 48 inch support pole. The clips that are included are also really interesting, they rotate to provide flexibility and how you clip the plant to the rod. All in all, there are a lot of pieces here, so I'd say that they're a great value. Growing season is pretty much over here for the year, but these will be a great addition to my garden come spring. I can see starting with one section when I plant my seedlings, and adding additional sections as the plants grow. Recommended!

LANNEY Garden Stakes
Won’t work for my purpose (holding extension cord high), but should be Okay for vine climbing.

Cooler than I originally thought
These are pretty heavy rods (almost as heavy as metal), but they aren't particularly long. I was a bit disappointed, since I don't really need plant supports for anything under a foot tall. However, the clips for these are amazing and changed everything. First of all, the rods have little protrusions, so that when y ou put a clip on one, the clip doesn't move hardly at all--even if you're trying to move it. It doesn't slide or twist like you'd expect. Second, the clips pivot in the middle. This means you can hook another rod to the one in your hand so that it crosses the first one, or so that it just makes the rod twice as long. These are nifty and I'm excited to put them to use this weekend in my garden!

Growing season is over but I'm ready for next year now
We had some similar stakes to these we had bought back in spring but a smaller set and we ran out while setting up some stakes for our tomatoes. These feel solid, very similar to the other set and will work well for next year. I connected several together to form a box and it was fairly easy but did require some pressure to pop the rods into the rotating connectors. That's probably good though so they won't come undone on accident. No complaints, they're exactly what I was looking for and will work with my existing set.
