I love how this biryani essence enhances the flavors of my dish! It perfectly highlights the saffron, cardamom, and other spices without overpowering them. Just a few drops added a wonderful aroma and an extra layer of flavor. The small bottle is potent and will last a long time, making it a great value. I highly recommend this essence to anyone looking to elevate their biryani.

It has a strong flavor that reminds me of flowers and aromatic rices. It complements rice dishes nicely. I do use it very sparingly, though, both because it is strong and because the flavor turns strange when too much is added. I wish that they listed more actual ingredients because "Nature Identical and Artificial Flavoring Substances" doesn't tell me much. The packaging is no more helpful than the listing on Amazon in that regard.The one thing that really confuses me about this product is that on the packaging they include "Caution: For tropical use only." Normally, I would assume that they misspelled "topical," but I have no idea what they're getting at when this is an essence for food. The same comment is repeated in the French labeling also on the package which mentions "tropicale." The strange thing is that I have looked up their other food essences on Amazon and they use the same phrase for multiple varieties.

This comes in a small bottle packaged in a small cardboard box. The bottle had come out of the box in shipment and apparently the lid was not tight either because about half of the contents leaked out into the padded envelope it was shipped in. The flavor and scent seemed a little off from what I am used to for biryani. I would not recommend this product.

To be fair, I've never tried an essence before. This was definitely not what I expected, and smelled way more floral than thought it would. I only used a few drops in rice, and my husband didn't care for it. The packaging also confused me. It references "tropical use only". I don't know what this means. Was it supposed to be "topical"? Although that doesn't really make sense, either, unless it means to only use it on top of food and not while cooking? Overall, I was confused and can't recommend this.

This liquid spice is perfect for adding to rice, but be cautious when adding it because it is concentrated. A little goes a long way to bring out the savory, slightly sweet, and mildly spicy taste. I know why the bottle is small because it is so concentrated.

This is a nice essence than enhance the aromatics to your dishes. I love the fact that it is versatile and can be used in multiple dishes. Be sure to use only few drop, since it is very strong. Pricewise it is great since quantity needed is very small and will go long way. All the good thing aside, I am confused why the caution says tropical use only? What does that even mean? Possible mislabeling?

This adds a very nice aroma to my biryani, I personally used it as a finishing oil to my rice and it amplified the scent and brought up the spices as well. I only added a few drops to the pan and I felt that that was enough. Overall it is easy, convenient, well priced at $6.49 and this small bottle will last me a while.

I had no idea that there were essences that you could use for biryani, this essence helps highlight the saffron, cardamom and other ingredients in biryani without having to use too much of the actual spice. It adds an extra dimension, and highlights the flavors. It also creates an aroma that is very inviting.
