Great product! We have our Echo Dot mounted in our drop ceiling and then connected to our home theatre receiver in another area behind a closed door. This looks great mounted in the ceiling, giving it a professional, sleek and clean look. The high quality fabric magnetic cover hides the echo dot and looks very nice in the ceiling as you only see the colored rings when you are interacting with the echo dot. The fabric cover is easy to remove and put back as you need with the magnet connection. Installation was simple…Blue Dot provides a paper template to use to cut the 5 inch hold in the drop ceiling tile. I used a drywall saw to cut out where the template was. The mount then easily goes into place within the cutout hole. The mount allows cables to run through and connect to the Echo Dot. The mount is awesome in that it gives a convenient place to put and interact with your echo dot and it looks extremely nice and professional.

This is an awesome product for a sleek, clean way to install an echo dot. I installed this into the ceiling of our entryway as a means to control lights and music as we come and go. I researched several products for ceiling/wall mount that would leave the echo dot flush in the wall and still allow sound. I ultimately connected the dot to a pair of in-ceiling speakers, but the sounds from the dot were still great when installed in the recessed mount.Our favorite part of this mount is the white grill that covers the top of the dot, all other mounts available leave the black/gray top of the echo visible and a bit of an eyesore on an otherwise white ceiling. The light ring is visible through the grill during use, but disappears when you are not actively interacting with Alexa. The grill is also magnetic and easily pops on and off if you need access to the dot or what to mute it.Great product and made in the USA. I will definitely be purchasing more for around the house.

Kind of expensive considering the price of the dot. Seeing that the quality of the housing and the magnetic cover, well worth it for the discreteness it almost looks like a fire alarm. Installed it on a good friend's barber shop and leaves just enough room for the 3.5mm connection and micro usb. As far as i know it is only compatible with the now older square dot, not the new rounder one. Also on a side note if you are powering the dot do not use a long usb extension due to voltage drop out, either use an extension with the power brick close to the dot or see if there is a way to ensure you have no power loss due to longer length of cables

This makes your House look & sound SMART! Make sure that you have access to the other side of the wall or ceiling where you are installing it. It’s a perfect fit for the echo dot 2nd generation. Cut a 5” circle in your drywall. Run your USB power cable through to the other side. Tighten 3 adjustable screws. Put the magnetic cover on and that’s it!

Have this mounted in the ceiling in the kitchen, we love having it mounted up and out of the way! I love that there’s a cover that you can see the ring of light through. Installation was easy. Looking forward to the Gen 3 mount so I can put these in other rooms. The Gen 3 Dot sounds so much better than the Gen 2.

For the application it’s a great product. It’s not super heavy duty, but it doesn’t have to be. Just use a little common sense installing it and you should have no problems.

This is easy to install and well designed. The gen 2 Echo Dot fits perfectly and the cool factor is 12 out of 10.

Works just as described, and USA made. Installed in my drop ceiling.Suggestion to maker: add a 5inch cardboard template so you dont have to buy a 5" hole saw.
