Quite, effective Robot-vacuum and more!
Upgrading from an older Roomba, I was immediately impressed by the advanced mapping, accurate object detection, and the seamless transition between mopping and carpet cleaning. The quiet operation truly surprised me – I could easily watch TV while it vacuumed without needing to crank up the volume. After the initial mapping, this robot efficiently tackles both hardwood and carpet in a methodical zig-zag pattern. What's great is its smarts: when it detects dirtier areas, it automatically makes repeated passes with strong suction, ensuring a thorough clean. The automatic emptying of the dustbin and dirty water mid-cycle is a game-changer. I've completed five cleanings and haven't had to empty either bin myself! This level of convenience means weeks of beautifully clean floors with virtually no effort on my part. The Eufy app is well-integrated with their ecosystem. I love being able to divide my downstairs into specific rooms – it makes targeting high-traffic areas like the kitchen and dining room for quick cleanups a breeze. Plus, the app accurately identifies my rugs, allowing me to select a deep clean setting for the shaggier one. Features like off-peak charging, multi-floor mapping, and saved cleaning zones are fantastic additions.Luckily my cat hasn’t had any accidents, the detachable hand vacuum is a welcome bonus. I can definitely see it being useful for future spills. I tested it on the rugs, and it performed adequately, though it's clearly designed for quick spot treatments rather than deep cleaning without a specialized cleaner. Finally, the unboxing experience was surprisingly smooth and intuitive. The thoughtful packaging made the initial setup quick and hassle-free. Overall, a fantastic upgrade!

Nearly perfect, super pleased with performance and ease of use
Whats not to love about my new robotic friend? Its sleek, well made, works extremely well and makes household chores so much easier and less of a bother. I love the Eufy Clean app, its easy to map out your rooms and set a schedule, choose your options, etc. One thing that threw me for a bit is that its a separate app to control this unit, if you already have the Eufy app, that main one is mostly for security at least for now. If you want to add your robot vac, you have to install the Eufy clean app. I spent an hour trying to get the robot vac added to my devices in the Eufy main app before I realized it was not the same. The performance of the robot vac is extremely good, its able to clean my hard wood floors easily. The mop works wonders and leaves the floors looking brand new. Later this week I'll be expanding it to also vacuum my carpeted areas, so far I've just focused on the hard wood floors since we're having some construction done in those carpeted areas right now. I also installed some googly eyes for comedic effect and named it "M-O" from one of the robotic characters in the movie WALL-E. I've had the E28 for a few weeks now and really love it, the quality, the performance, the ease of use, the Eufy Clean app is great, etc. You really can't go wrong with this one, its pretty close to perfect for a floor cleaning robot.

Absolutely Disappointed
Absolutely Disappointed - Two Defective Units in a Row!I am incredibly frustrated with my experience with the eufy E28 robot vacuum. I was initially excited to purchase this product, but it has been a complete letdown. My first eufy E28 unit arrived with a critical flaw: a broken membrane that is supposed to separate the clean and dirty water. Because of this defect, the water mixed, and the unit quickly started to emit a foul, stagnant ("abombao") smell, making it unusable.Believing this might have been an isolated incident – a stroke of bad luck – I returned the faulty unit and decided to give the eufy E28 another chance by ordering a second one. Unfortunately, my hope was misplaced. The second unit arrived with an entirely different, yet equally frustrating, problem. The right wheel is defective, causing the robot to stop randomly during its cleaning cycle, accompanied by an error message related to that wheel. To receive one defective product might be understandable, but to receive two brand new units, back-to-back, both with significant operational faults, is unacceptable. This indicates a serious lack of quality control on eufy's part.I will now be returning the second defective eufy E28 and will certainly not be trying a third. I cannot recommend this product to anyone based on my terrible experience. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration.

Good robot, with some minor issues
It's been a few days now and I have enough information to write a review.First, this is nice. It does a great job at mopping, an okay job at vacuuming. It does a great job for the 90% but that last 10%, it just can't clean up. Even so, it vacuums daily, so it isn't terrible.A few things on setting it up:- You must have 2.5GHz. I know it says that it can handle a mixed network, but it can't for me for some reason. It looks like the vacuum just disappears and needs to be reset and that seemed to have stopped when I put it on its own network.- The instructions are pretty bad. Fortunately, assembly is clear, but it's essentially a single line that is easy to miss on where to put the mop solution.- The app is good. No real complaints. It segregated the rooms pretty well, but what we didn't realize is that it's best to take ALL removable furniture, dog bowls, chairs, etc and move them while mapping. We now have a dead spot that the vacuum won't touch. Easily fixed, but just annoying and completely our fault. The robot itself is pretty smart. It does a good job of cleaning up after itself. Battery life isn't terrible -- about 30 minutes of cleaning, which I suppose is pretty normal. It easily finds its way home.Overall, my wife is happy, so I also like it. Fortunately, any issues I have are correctable via software. I'd recommend it, but just know that it doesn't substitute for someone actually cleaning with a good vacuum.
