The WILLHI WH1436H Works great and was available here for about the lowest price I have found. Good value.I built a humidifier myself with a large plastic tub and a House of Hydro 5 head Head Water Fogger and tested it for 3 days. After it seemed to be working great I ordered this WILLHI WH1436H control unit to automate it.The WILLHI WH1436H control unit sensor is sensitive, breath on it and the humidity jumps up quickly and then settles back to where it was quickly.Setup was super easy.Durability... I have only had it for a week or so, under the circumstances I can't comment on durability yet.I have a 3000 sq ft 2 story house and it now stays at 50% down stairs where I keep the humidifier and 48% humidity upstairs. Before is was in the low to mid 30% range.UPDATE - it has now been 5 and a half months and this unit is still working perfect. Based on that and the other details above, I can recommend it.~

Plug and play. Takes a minute to figure out how to set the Rh range but otherwise seems to be doing just fine. One thing to note is that you want an analog controlled humidifier with an actual on/off dial. A digitally controlled humidifier won't necessarily turn back on when the hygrostat tells it to. Not this products fault.

These are good for egg incubation and can be set up with a modified humidifier to create an automatic humidity pump. However, if you rely only on that set up and otherwise do not add any water, the humidity controller will have a short life and begin to stick and fail after a few 21 day incubator cycles. The maker is very good about replacement. After much trial and error, we decided to keep the WILLHI from working so hard by adding water the old fashioned way and just allowing the controller to add humidity when we are gone or during the night. This has greatly improved the life of the humidity controller for us. I recommend this product to those who incubate and wish to build their own humidity pump system.

I use this for growing gourmet mushrooms indoors. Like most products that read humidity, it falls victim to getting wet and giving incorrect readings. If you can position the sensor in a way that keeps drops of water off of it, it would help. I try to keep my greenhouse at 95% relative humidity and this seems to be accurate when compared to other humidity sensors i use. There are a lot out there, but I got this for the programming features. It's nice that you can set high and low limits. Controls are a bit weird but the manual helps to figure it out easy enough.

I bought this because of a problem I was consistently having with the inkbird humidity controller, and within a few weeks of use this one is doing the same thing-- except it's doing it even more often than the inkbird controller did. Normally, it turns on the humidity at 66% and turns it off at 71%, which is what I have it programmed to do. Every once in a while, though, it decides to just ignore the 71% value and keep running forever. My lizard enclosure is at 95% humidity this morning and soaking wet. I am not happy about that! Will be returning and trying yet another model. Considering two units from different companies have the same issue, I have to imagine they're using the same internal hardware or something. I am returning this and will try the one made by REPTI ZOO instead.I will say that other than this huge problem, it is nicely made and easy to use.

I'm using this with a room humidifier and it does the job keeping the humidity within a range. My main complaint is that even though the manual states the control has been simplified it's still too complicated in my opinion. In particular, if you press the wrong button you can easily enter some obscure settings that are difficult to figure out without reading the manual. In this case the easiest way out is to reset the control and start over.Another issue is that the humidity probe at the end of the cable is not the most aesthetic to have in your bedroom. It's a black thing that looks like it belongs in a lab or factory.I have one more issue with this controller. Once programmed in auto mode I would like to be able to chose the initial state on or off. It should have a button to toggle this but it does not. The way I got around it is I blow a hairdryer on low heat on the probe to lower the humidity and for it to switch into on state.

advertised 118" power cable. Power cable was barely 24" -- false advertisement, very upset by this purchase

This product worked well for a while but after a few months the relay stopped shutting off at random causing it to flood my enclosire several times. I have reset the module countless times to encounter the same mess of it burning out my humidifier because it ran for 10 hours straight, even though the module indicates that it is not running at the time....
